What is a PS skirting board? Is it the same as a baseboard?
Yes. A PS skirting board is the trim that covers the wall-to-floor joint — called a baseboard in North America and a skirting board in the UK and most other markets. Ours is made from polystyrene rather than wood or MDF.
What heights and profiles are available?
Several face heights and thicknesses are available to suit different wall and floor conditions. We share the current profile list, section drawings and packing dimensions during quotation.
Are PS skirting boards waterproof?
Yes. They do not absorb moisture and will not swell or deform in humid conditions, which makes them suitable for kitchens and bathrooms outside direct splash zones.
Can PS baseboards be used with underfloor heating?
In most cases yes, provided the expansion gap at the wall-to-floor joint is respected. Confirm the installation method with your flooring supplier before site work begins.
Do they contain formaldehyde?
No. PS skirting boards are made from polystyrene with no added formaldehyde, and are certified to French VOC A+ for indoor air quality.
How are they installed and cut?
They are fixed with adhesive, nails or clips depending on the substrate, and cut with a fine-tooth trim saw. Corners are finished with matching accessories or mitred joints.
What is the MOQ, and is OEM available?
The standard MOQ is 1,000 m, normally one container. OEM covers profile development, colour matching, private-label packaging and retail packing.
